Charitable Involvement

At Quilchena Golf & Country Club, the members take great pride in their efforts to give back to the community. Quilchena is a club with heart, hosting many fund raising events including corporate and local charity tournaments.

One of the most successful and long running is the Quilchena Women’s Charity Invitational in support of CHIMO Crisis Services in Richmond. The annual event has raised more than $250,000 for this very worthy cause.

The Club is also a strong supporter of The Richmond Hospital Foundation, donating to their annual Starlight Gala, as well as hosting the Foundation’s Charity Golf Tournament. Proceeds from the 2010 event went toward the purchase of sophisticated surgical equipment.

The ALS Memorial Golf Tournament is a major fundraiser for the ALS Society of BC, and Quilchena has proudly hosted this event. And in recent years, our CPGA Golf Professionals have participated in the PGA of BC Golf- A-Thon for ALS. Playing from dawn until dark, Quilchena’s pros raised in excess of $12,000 for ALS research in one day.

Our excellent Junior Program has seen many graduates over the years go on to higher levels of competition, including former LPGA Tour player Jennifer Wyatt. In support of growing the game and junior golf, Quilchena donates tee times for the local school competitions.

The SUCCESS Foundation, Richmond Christmas Fund, BC Children’s Hospital Foundation, YVR Golf for Kids Tournament, and the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra are among the many other charitable organizations that benefit from the generosity of membership of Quilchena, the club with heart.
