One of the most striking innovations during the recent course renovation is the island tee on number 4, reached by a charming stone bridge. The beautiful tee complex, surrounded by water, is about 12 feet above the fairway and gives players a great view of the fairway and to the right glimpses of the dykes and the ocean. The original tee boxes are still in play, renovated and raised. The island tee creates a challenging and exciting straightaway shot; the tee complexes to the right a different look and challenge with the hole bending to the right. Depending on which tee is in play, number 4 is essentially two different golf holes.
